What to Expect at the Event
This week is more than a gathering.
It’s a shared journey of training, culture, celebration, and connection.
Everything is designed so you can train deeply, feel supported, and experience Capoeira the way it’s meant to be lived.
Workshops & Rodas
Adults Classes
Train, play, and connect every night.
Every day of the event, adults will experience a special workshop led by one of our guest instructors, followed by a roda at the academy.
Each night brings a different energy, a different perspective, and a chance to learn directly from teachers who carry their own history, style, and experience.
All workshops and rodas take place at the academy.
Kids Classes
One group. One shared experience.
To create a stronger experience for the kids, all children will train together on:
Monday and Wednesday
5:30 PM – 6:30 PM (We may do a roda after for the kids)
Kids will have special classes, taught with care, structure, and joy, so they feel included in the event while staying fully supported.
Thursday · Official Opening
Prepare the body. Set the tone. Open the circle.
The event officially opens on Thursday with:
• Dance workshop
• Music
• Roda
This night is about warming up the body, connecting the group, and setting the tone for the rest of the weekend!
Friday · Deep Training Day
More time. More depth. More exchange.
On Friday, workshops begin at 3:00 PM with multiple sessions led by guest instructors.
This is a day to slow down, explore details, and absorb different approaches to movement and game.
Saturday · The Heart of the Event
Tradition, lineage, and transformation.
Saturday is the most important day of the week.
We begin at 10:00 AM with a dance workshop, followed by a master class with my mestre, Mestre Coruja, closing the training portion of the event with intention and depth.
Batizado and Belt ceremony
After the classes, we move into the Batizado, which includes:
A special show
My belt ceremony
Student belt graduations
We then share feijoada outside the academy, followed by a celebration party in the Miami Design District with live music.
City Experiences During the Week
Capoeira doesn’t stop at the academy.
For those arriving early or staying through the week, we’ll organize casual outings to:
• Our favorite beaches
• Local food spots
• Places that represent the spirit of Miami
Sunday · Boat Day & Closing Barbecue
Celebrate the journey together.
Sunday we return to the water for our traditional boat day.
Spots are limited, so early reservation is important.
After the boat, we close the event with a barbecue at my house, sharing one last moment together before everyone heads home.
Food
Food may also be available at the academy during the week, organized with the help of our students.

A Personal Note
This event is deeply special to me.
It’s my fourth event here in Miami.
We are celebrating 30 years of my school, 30 years of my Capoeira journey, and my next belt graduation.
I’m truly honored to share this moment with you.
