Build Strong,
Confident Kids.
Music, Movement, and a Lot of Fun
On the surface, a kids class looks like pure play: music, movement, rhythm, and a lot of fun. Your child laughs, moves, and leaves happy and tired.
But it is much more than that.
While they play, Capoeira is quietly building the things that help them everywhere else: coordination and body control, the focus to follow what is happening, the confidence to try, quick thinking and problem solving, and the social skills that come from moving and playing with others.

A different kind of growth
What many children are missing today
Kids today move less, look at screens more, and get fewer chances to solve real problems with their own bodies.
The real issue runs deeper than exercise. Childhood has become more structured, more supervised, and more digital. There is less room to explore, adapt, create, and learn through movement.
The cost is quiet. Children grow more hesitant to try, more dependent on direction, and less sure of themselves when something is new.
And it does not stay in childhood. It shapes how they face challenges, people, and learning for years.
- Hesitant Movement
- Afraid to Try
- Easily Distracted
- Gives Up Quickly
- Needs Constant Direction
- Low Body Confidence
One of the most complete things a child can do.
Most activities train one skill at a time. Capoeira brings them together. In one game, a child moves, keeps rhythm, hears live music, reads a partner, makes decisions, adapts, and expresses themselves, all at once.
That mix builds coordination, focus, creativity, emotional control, confidence, and social awareness. Naturally, through play. And because it lives in a group and a real culture, kids do not just learn moves. They grow up around learning, movement, respect, and connection.
The goal is bigger than today. It is a child who becomes an adult who is comfortable learning, confident facing challenges, and connected to others.
You are not simply choosing an activity. You are choosing the environment that shapes who your child becomes.

Why We Teach
the Way We Do
Everything we do rests on four simple beliefs about how children really grow.
Fun
Kids should be kids. Children learn best when they are playing, moving, and enjoying it. Fun is not a break from learning. It is one of the reasons learning happens.
Development
We are not only teaching Capoeira. We are building movers: balance, coordination, body awareness, and a love of moving that lasts for life.
Safety
Safe to move, explore, make mistakes, and speak up. We build discipline without erasing personality, and confidence without the fear of failing.
Social Growth
Children grow through others. Every class practices teamwork, communication, winning, losing, leading, and supporting. Life skills, not just Capoeira skills.
What This Looks Like in Class
Every class quietly develops several abilities at the same time.
Meet Mestre Cabeção
Mestre Cabeção teaches every kids class personally. With nearly 30 years of Capoeira, he has helped hundreds of children take their very first ginga — patiently, playfully, and safely.
Parents love him for a simple reason: he knows every child by name, meets them exactly where they are, and makes them feel capable from the first class.
His classes are structured and safe, but never stiff — there is music, laughter, and games in every single one.
"Amazing Capoeira school for kids and families! Mestre Julio is a fantastic teacher who brings together martial arts, music, dance, and Afro-Brazilian culture in every class. My 5-year-old has grown so much in confidence since starting."
"My grandson loves this class, and Julio is a dedicated Mestre to his students. My grandson not only learns capoeira but also its roots, the culture, the history, and the music. Very involved program."
"My 4 year old son loves Mestre Cabeção's class, he is learning more and more. The Master is super patient and loving with the children."
