A Special Milestone This Year
This year’s Vadeia Miami is especially meaningful.
Mestre Cabeção, founder of Evolve Miami Team, will also be changing belt during this event, as he is promoted to the next level of Mestre by his own teacher, Mestre Coruja.
With 30 years dedicated to Capoeira, Mestre Cabeção began his journey in 1996. At a time when Capoeira was often underestimated, he chose to live it fully. At age 20, he traveled to teach and perform in Mexico, France, Belgium, Hungary, Austria, Latvia, Tunisia, Israel, and many other places, before relocating to the United States in 2012. Today, he continues teaching and building community here in Miami.
This moment represents more than a title.
It represents decades of discipline, sacrifice, doubt, growth, and consistency.
After nearly 30 years of teaching movement, one truth remains clear:
identity is not found. It is built through structure and daily practice.
This event honors that journey and the lineage that made it possible.
