The ginga level 2

Moving around with the ginga

Mastering the ability to move around your partner holds significant importance. It adds depth to your gameplay and prevents you from becoming an easy target.

Fases da ginga

The "fases da ginga" are different ways of moving in the ginga. They help students move better during the game. These variations show how to use the ginga to escape from your opponent and get into a better position.

  1. Primeira fase: Begin by stepping your back leg forward, followed by your other leg moving halfway to create an "L" shape.

  2. Segunda fase: Repeat the steps, but this time continue all the way to the other side, completing a full circle.

  3. Terceira fase: Now initiate the movement with a shuffle, transitioning while changing legs from the start.

Important Note: This movement serves as an evasion technique integrated within your ginga. It's not merely a variation, but a critical escape. Correct execution ensures your safety and empowers efficient counterattacks.

Ginga as a defense:

Passagem

The "passagem" is commonly used when you go under an attack, which can involve the ginga or other specific moves.

Arms variations
