About the instructor

I don't know about you, but I didn’t always fit in.

I started capoeira in a poor town in São Paulo, Brazil. It was 1996; I was 10 years old. I had no coordination and 0 sports skills. The truth is, I did not have big expectations for my life. I was just a poor kid – no money, no talent – without any big dreams.

Luckily I found capoeira and my life changed!

I started training every day, and little by little I started to notice capoeira impacting my life. I started to teach, perform, and travel. I started to see so many opportunities. I went to Mexico in 2007, then France, Austria, Belgium, Germany, England, Spain, Israel, Tunisia, and many other places, all teaching and performing capoeira.

Through capoeira I met my partner, and through capoeira I have seen almost all my dreams come true! Capoeira changed my perspective on life. How could I not be in love?

My dream is to create a beautiful capoeira community here in Miami, to pay it forward with all capoeira has given me!

Our capoeira program for adults is broken down into three-month segments for new students, with specific, realistic, achievable goals for each segment. This allows new students to focus on the fundamentals, establishing a strong base for future growth. As students advance, they have more program choices and establish longer-term goals for their advancement and involvement in capoeira.
