I am sure you have noticed that capoeira is vast and intricate universe. It can be challenging to capture the full depth of the culture through regular classes. The event aims to bridge this gap, immersing students in the many aspects of capoeira. We've curated an experience where participants can deeply engage with this amazing art form through exclusive classes led by diverse professionals. These classes extend beyond capoeira, delving into samba, Afro dance, maculelê, and various other popular manifestations.

This occasion also provides a unique chance for students to really feel capoeira and experience the genuine energy of the capoeira “roda”.

The peak of the event is the “batizado”, a moment for students to celebrate their year-long commitment and mark the transition to a new phase, rewarding your diligence and dedication with a new capoeira belt.

If you can offer housing or transportation help, please reach out to us. Your generosity in hosting students from other schools visiting Miami or aiding with transportation is truly appreciated. Additionally we'll need help with various tasks such as organizing the studio, cleaning, moving instruments, setting up speakers, handling food, welcoming people and teachers, running errands, and more. 🔥 Get ready for Vadeia Miami 2024 🔥

  • Wednesday: We kick off the excitement on Wednesday with special workshops for kids and then adults. We’ll end the night with an engaging roda (adults only) to set the stage for an electrifying event.

  • Thursday: Enjoy a day at the beach with Brazilian churrasco, capoeira, and acrobatics. In the evening we will return to the event venue for another workshops for kids, followed by additional classes for adults featuring Maculele, a roda (of course), and an exclusive forró party for full-event participants.

  • Friday: Adult students who signed up for the full event can start your morning with a class featuring a special surprise guest! After another beachside meal, we will resume with evening activities for adult participants – including Cuban Afro dance, music workshops, and rodas.

  • Saturday: The day begins with a lively samba class, followed by capoeira classes tailored to different skill levels. Enjoy focused lessons designed for your level of experience. We will then bring everyone back together for a special workshop led by one of our main guests. Last year, Mestre Mão Branca, one of the guardians of the art who now lives in Boca, conducted a beautiful workshop, guided us through Brazilian life and history and its impact on capoeira practice. We will have something equally special this year!

    We will wrap up the workshops with an energetic roda. Then comes the main event - the batizado and belt ceremonies for both kids and adults, including performances by our students (that means you!). 

    After the batizado, we will serve feijoada, a traditional Brazilian dish, then get ready for our post-event celebration, featuring plenty of music, dancing, and fun!

  • Sunday: Join us for an optional boat ride to wrap up Vadeia Miami 2024 and enjoy the sun-soaked beauty of Miami. (Exclusive for full-event participants; boat ride sold separately.) Don't miss out on this dreamy capoeira experience! 🌟 #VadeiaMiami2024"

  • 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM: Begin the event with the first kids' workshop for younger participants.

    6:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Move into the second kids' workshop, designed for older kids.

    7:30 PM: Adults Workshop & Roda - Immerse yourself in capoeira with workshops specifically crafted for adults, followed by an exhilarating roda.

  • 10:00 AM: Beach Day Kickoff - A fun-filled morning at the beach for participants to relax and connect.

    5:00 PM - 6:30 PM: All Ages Kids Workshop - Engaging capoeira activities for our young participants.

    7:00 PM: Adults and Teens Workshop & Roda - Dive into capoeira with workshops tailored for adults, followed by an exciting roda.

    After workshop: Exclusive Party

  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Morning Reserved Workshop - Exclusive for whole event participants with a special guest.

    12:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Special Beach Lunch - Enjoy a delicious lunch by the beach.

    6:00 PM: Afternoon Workshops & Roda - Return to the gym for more workshops and a vibrant roda.

  • 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Dance Workshop - Energize your day with a lively dance workshop.

    11:00 AM - 1:30 PM: Begin Adults workshops, delving into more capoeira activities and workshops.

    2:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Belt Ceremony - Experience the culmination of hard work as participants receive their capoeira belts.

    5 pm: Brazilian Dinner

    After the event, we will serve a Brazilian dish called “feijoada,” and everyone is welcome to join.

    In the evening, we will host a special party exclusively for event participants.

  • On Sunday, we've arranged a special treat: a boat ride exclusively for those who have purchased the full event package. Please note that this is not included in the full event package and will be sold separately.
