Forms

All students must fill out the “New student information” and “Student agreement” forms. In-person students should complete these forms during your first class.

Missed Classes and Make-ups

Attendance is crucial for your progress. It is your responsibility to attend your regularly scheduled class(es). We offer more then one option during the week for each program level, and students can take any class from their level or below. Evolve Miami Team does NOT allow students to make up missed classes outside the regular schedule.

Students who are more than 15 minutes late to class without notifying the teacher will not be allowed to participate.

There will be no pro-rated tuition or refunds given for missed classes. We promote the respect of other people’s time! 

Scheduled Closures

Evolve will be closed for many federal holidays and each winter between the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Your program tuition includes these closures. 

Unforeseen Closures

If the decision is made to not have class in person due to inclement weather or any other reason, class will be held online. Students will be notified by email, text, and/or announcements in our WhatsApp group. If class is held online, there will be no make-up session.

If class is canceled and is not able to be held online, there will be a special make-up session.

Programs and Tuition

New students will enroll in a program of a specific length. To promote focus and a sense of community, we do not allow drop-ins. Students who commit to the full program achieve the best results! Tuition is due prior to the introduction session.

Depending on the length of the program, you may have the following options:

• Monthly payment

• Single payment in full

• Biannual payment

• Quarterly payment

We advise students to set up an account with us (click in the login button at the top of the page). After you sign up and make the first payment, the monthly fee will be charged automatically. Here are some tuition guidelines:

• Late fees will apply for missed payments.

• Tuition is non-transferable.

• Tuition expires after 6 months.

• Written notice must be provided 30 days in advance for cancellation.

Program prices vary by level. We will never increase your payment without confirmation that you would like to upgrade to the next level.

We accept payment via major credit card, check, cash, or payment application (PayPal, Zelle, Venmo).

Private lessons and special events must be paid for in advance.

There are no refunds. 

Price

Price is not based on how many classes you take in a week, but on the value of each level of classes, and also on the commitment you are making to grow in capoeira.

Additional Costs

Students can expect to pay additional fees for annual events and special workshops. Prices will vary depending on the program in which the student is currently enrolled. 

Updating Your Account Information

We are unable to change your password for you. If you need to reset your password, use the “Forgot password?” option on the sign in page. You will receive a password reset email. This link expires after 24 hours.

It is not possible to change the email address associated with your account. You can create a new account using your updated email address.

Leveling Up

The choice is yours whether you want to advance to the next level or stay in your current level. When you step up a level, you can still participate in all classes from previous levels. Even though the choice is yours, there are still a few basic requirements to move up a level.

Requirement to Advance

You must complete 70% of the previous level in order to move up. Completion can be through participation in the program and/or extra work outside class. More information can be found in the book related to your program level.

Uniforms

A uniform t-shirt is included with Intro Program 1 tuition; uniform pants are included as part of Intro Program 2 tuition. Extra shirts and capoeira pants are available for purchase. All Evolve Miami Team students are expected to wear a uniform to class.

The use of a uniform increases the level of focus, organization, and professionalism in class. Keep uniforms neat and clean.

Studio

When we train inside, we must respect the studio rules. Street shoes are not to be worn in studios at any time. No food or beverages is allowed in studios, except for water.

Class Behavior

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to scheduled class time dressed and ready.

Always be well mannered and courteous toward others.
