We are thrilled to have you with us at Ginga Sampa 2025! Get ready for a unique experience of Capoeira, culture, and fun. This event will take place in two amazing locations: Maresias and São Paulo.

⚠️ Important:

  1. Only those participating in the full event (Maresias and São Paulo) will receive the official event t-shirt. Those who do not participate in the entire event can purchase the t-shirt separately.

  2. If you are a member of our school, Mangalot Capoeira, your payment must be made directly to your school's representative as soon as possible. Payments made during the event may incur an additional fee. If you have any questions or are not part of our school, please contact Mestra Grazi via phone at +55 11 94227-0229 or by email at grazi_cdo@hotmail.com.

  • Packing List:

    1. Capoeira Essentials:

      • White pants (we will use them a lot, so bring enough) and cord.

      • White shirt from your school uniform.

      • Extra training clothes (very important, don’t forget!) – we will train a lot, so having extra clothes is essential.

      • Sneakers suitable for playing capoeira (floor types may vary).

    2. Beach and Bathing:

      • Swimsuit.

      • Towel (for bathing and beach).

    3. Casual Clothing:

      • Clothes for going out (we may attend samba and forró events, if possible).

      • Comfortable shoes and flip-flops.

    4. Daily Essentials:

      • Backpack (to carry clothes, snacks, water, etc., as the days might be long).

      • Charger adapters.

      • Sweater (check the weather; summer lows in São Paulo can range from 65°F to 72°F).

  • Tips for Traveling to Brazil:

    1. Weather Preparation:

      • Bring sunscreen and bug spray (essential for both urban and rural areas).

    2. Safety:

      • Be cautious with scams, especially at airports:

        • Uber Scams: Only book Ubers through the app and confirm the driver’s details before getting in.

        • Avoid accepting rides or transportation offers from people approaching you at the airport.

      • Organize transportation with your teacher or event organizers whenever possible.

    3. Money and Valuables:

      • Avoid carrying large amounts of cash.

      • Keep valuables safe and out of sight, especially in crowded areas.

    4. Cultural Tips:

      • Bathrooms: Do not flush toilet paper; use the trash bins provided.

      • Changing Clothes: Never change clothes in public. Undergarments should be changed in the bathroom or your room.

      • Behavior: Burping in public is considered disrespectful in Brazil.

      • Drugs: Marijuana is illegal in Brazil. Respect the laws.

      • Alcohol: Alcohol consumption is only allowed after training. If any alteration due to alcohol consumption is noticed, the participant will not be allowed to join activities.

    5. Communication and Respect:

      • Respect local customs and always ask permission before taking photos of people or places.

      • Learn basic Portuguese phrases to make communication easier and show respect for the local culture.
