Adult Capoeira · Evolve Miami Team
Your first look inside Capoeira.
A guided preview of movement, training, culture, and the learning path. You do not need experience—start where you are, learn one piece at a time, and keep going.
What to expect
A class asks you to move, listen, respond, and participate.
You may begin with mobility and foundational movement, learn alongside a partner, work with rhythm, and gradually see how the physical and cultural sides of Capoeira meet. Nobody needs to arrive ready for the finished version of the practice.
Learn in pieces
Movements, timing, balance, and interaction are introduced progressively. A beginner can focus on one useful piece at a time.
Be part of the room
Capoeira includes observation, rhythm, music, and shared practice. Learning is more than copying a sequence alone.

A clear path from your first class to your first belt
Progress is a journey you can understand from day one.
The first belt is not about rushing through a list. It represents foundations practiced over time: movement, listening, consistency, cultural participation, and the ability to keep learning with other people.
Find your base
You begin with posture, ginga, simple travel, balance, mobility, and an introduction to how a class works.
Learn the conversation
Basic attacks and escapes start making sense together. You practice distance, timing, attention, and responding rather than memorizing isolated moves.
Build rhythm and participation
You learn how music, clapping, observation, and the roda support the game. The practice becomes more connected and less unfamiliar.
Grow through consistency
Regular training gives you time to revisit foundations, notice patterns, ask better questions, and develop your own relationship with the art.
Move toward your first belt
As your foundations become more reliable, progression recognizes the work you have put into the path. Your instructor guides when the next step makes sense.
Build your own study rhythm
Use extra practice as support—not pressure.
Between classes, some students like to revisit one movement, listen to music, watch a short lesson, or train for a few minutes. Your rhythm can be simple and personal. The goal is not to complete everything; it is to stay connected to what you are learning.
